The Aargau Cantonal Police (Kantonspolizei Aargau) reported the disappearance of 78-year-old Monika Augustin from the municipality of Villmergen in the canton of Aargau. Augustin left her place of residence on Friday morning, 4 September, at approximately 09:30 AM. According to police reports, she is believed to have departed directly from her home using her personal vehicle. Law enforcement authorities initiated immediate inquiries following the notification of her disappearance, but her current whereabouts remain unknown.

Vehicle details and journey to Germany

At the time of her departure, Augustin was presumed to be driving a blue Subaru Forester fitted with Aargau cantonal licence plates. Police noted that she intended to travel to Germany to meet with other people. Despite multiple investigative steps and search operations conducted by cantonal officers, authorities have not located the vehicle or established where it travelled after leaving Villmergen.

Police also noted that Augustin may be travelling in the company of her pet dog, described as a black miniature poodle. The Aargau Cantonal Police have conducted diverse police checks and search operations to locate her and the car.
