Early duel and key overtaking moves
Bezzecchi entered Sunday having topped the morning warm-up session with a lap time of 1:46.512, ahead of Acosta and Marquez. Starting from pole position, Bezzecchi made a strong getaway and opened an early lead of eight-tenths of a second over the field. Marquez lost positions at the opening corner after forgetting to disengage his bike's ride-height lowering device, but he recovered quickly to pass Martin and pursue the leader. On lap six, Marquez attacked Bezzecchi at Turn 15, drawing alongside the Italian at high speed with slight aerodynamic contact between both bikes. Acosta exploited the opening to slip past Bezzecchi into second place, establishing a running order that held for the remainder of the race.
Marc, with the experience that he has and the speed that he has, today he was unbeatable.
Race control and retirements
After taking the lead, Marquez built a steady gap over Acosta, extending his advantage beyond one second on lap 14 and reaching 1.4 seconds on lap 16. Several riders failed to finish the 13th round of the championship. Factory Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia crashed while running in seventh position, ending his attempt to charge through the field. Franco Morbidelli also suffered a crash, Raul Fernandez retired to the pit lane with technical issues, and Toprak Razgatlioglu crashed out with a few laps left. Fermin Aldeguer finished sixth for Gresini Racing in his return from a two-month injury absence, leading Fabio Di Giannantonio, Enea Bastianini, Diogo Moreira, and Brad Binder in the top ten.
Once I got the lead I put my foot down and turned up the pressure and opened the gap so that there would be no doubt about victory.
Championship standings and points gap
Marquez collected maximum points across the weekend, rising to 237 points to move into second place in the riders' championship. Martin retains the title lead with 256 points, while Marquez cut the deficit between them to 19 points. Bezzecchi dropped to third place on 232 points, trailing Martin by 24 points. Di Giannantonio ranks fourth overall, while Japanese rider Ai Ogura missed the round through injury and fell to fifth in the standings.
